RANNBHEDI Play Explores Modern Struggles and Mahabharata Parallels

The play RANNBHEDI depicts the mindset of today's children who become disheartened and afraid to face life at the slightest failure. An elderly grandmother helps instill confidence in them once again through her life experiences and stories.

The production shows challenging present-day situations that resemble the circumstances of the Dwapara Yuga, allowing the audience to view characters from both the present day and the Dwapara Yuga simultaneously. Ultimately, the play conveys the message that life is a battle and viewers must face it like brave warriors without fear.

Group Leaders

Ajay Sethi served as an Actor-Teacher with the Theatre in Education Company at the National School of Drama from 1997 to 2006 and continues as guest faculty. He runs the theatre group "Breathing Space Academy" and previously worked with NDTV from 2006 to 2017. Since 2017, he has worked as a Theatre and Mass Media educator at The Shri Ram School and as guest faculty at Gurugram University.

Snigdha Mondal has been engaged in theatre since 2007, graduated from Rabindra Bharati University in 2012, and completed a diploma in dramatic arts with an acting specialization at the National School of Drama, New Delhi, in 2019. She has acted in at least twenty plays, worked with numerous leading directors, and currently works as a teacher and actor with Theatre in Education at the National School of Drama.
