Saiyami Kher Reflects on a Decade in Film and Expresses Desire to Work With Waheeda Rehman

As Saiyami Kher completes a decade in the film industry, the actor is looking back at a journey shaped by unconventional choices, personal growth, and a willingness to define success on her own terms. Since making her debut with Mirzya in 2016, Saiyami has explored different opportunities while also establishing herself in endurance sports, becoming the first Indian female actor to compete in the Ironman 70.3 triathlon.

Reflecting on her career, Saiyami noted that the outcome of a project is not always in an actor's control. Despite the box office performance of Mirzya, she considers it one of the best experiences of her life, highlighting her relationships with Rakeysh and Gulzar Sahab as true measures of success.

When discussing the actors who have inspired her, Saiyami named Amitabh Bachchan and Waheeda Rehman. She expressed a desire to share screen space with Bachchan and stated that she draws immense inspiration from Waheeda Rehman's ability to remain true to herself.

Looking ahead, Saiyami hopes to step outside her comfort zone to take on a romantic comedy or a comedy film. She also shared a list of filmmakers she would like to collaborate with, including Imtiaz Ali, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Sudip Sharma, and Abhishek Chaubey. On the work front, she has Pal Bhar Ke Liye, a Marathi film planned for later in the year, and an unannounced international project.

Beyond cinema, endurance sports remain a major part of Saiyami's life. She has several upcoming races lined up, including marathons and ultra-marathons, with plans to attempt a full Ironman around September.
