Samvedna Suwalka Reflects on Her Journey, Working With Ajay Devgn, and Her Role in Drishyam The Conclusion
Actor Samvedna Suwalka discusses her experience playing lawyer Gayathri Mohan in the Drishyam franchise, receiving praise from Ajay Devgn, and working alongside Prakash Raj in Drishyam The Conclusion.
Samvedna Suwalka reflected on her journey in the entertainment industry and her experience working on the Drishyam franchise, where she played Vijay Salgaonkar's lawyer, Gayathri Mohan. Suwalka noted that her career has been a sustained success since starting in 2013 rather than an overnight phenomenon, with work across plays, independent films, OTT shows like Jee Karda and Gyarah Gyarah, and films like Fighter and Drishyam 2.
Recalling her first proper meeting with Ajay Devgn during her courtroom monologue in the climax of Drishyam 2, Suwalka shared that the scene was approved in a single take by the director. Afterwards, Devgn patted her on the back, smiled, and said, "Well done."
In the recently released third part, Drishyam The Conclusion, Suwalka's character returned with a larger role, pitting her against a veteran actor like Prakash Raj. Describing the on-screen dynamic as a "David vs Goliath chemistry," she praised the experience of working with Prakash Raj, noting that while they played vicious rivals between "action" and "cut," they shared meals during breaks.
Looking ahead to her future projects, Suwalka shared that she has shot an independent Indo-British film titled DINK (Double Income No Kids) in London, completed Ribhu Dasgupta’s Guru starring John Abraham, and stars in a Subhash Ghai production titled Manya, directed by Sameer Joshi.
