Son Machhariya: A Play Directed by Sanjay Choudhary

The play Son Machhariya tells the story of a beautiful sailor named Tetri. She lives a happy life with her boatman husband, Bisesar, until Bisesar is jailed for killing a man belonging to the village landlord during a fight against atrocities committed against his community.

Following Bisesar's imprisonment, Tetri moves back to live with her father as his only child and support. Due to her beauty, antisocial elements cast evil eyes on her. When Bisesar does not return from prison for a long time, Tetri's father is lured by money and arranges a second marriage for her with a rowdy. Tetri is unhappy in this marriage and later runs away to her father's home.

When Bisesar eventually returns from prison, he goes to his in-laws' house to take Tetri back. However, her father demands a large sum of money that Bisesar cannot afford.
