Sonu Sood Honors Late Mother Saroj Sood on Her 19th Death Anniversary

Sonu Sood remembered his late mother, Professor Saroj Sood, on her 19th death anniversary on October 13. The actor posted an emotional note and a photo collage on Instagram featuring cherished moments from his younger days.

Accompanying the pictures, Sonu wrote, “It’s been 19 years today Maa… Life without you will never be the same. See you on the other side someday. Miss you so so much. #ProfSarojSood.”

Sonu lost his mother on October 13, 2007. Professor Saroj Sood was an educator based in Moga, Punjab, who taught and mentored students, and also served as Sonu's college teacher. Sonu has previously described her as his teacher, mother, and idol, noting that she was his guiding angel who encouraged him through letters during his early days in Mumbai.

Her legacy continues through the Prof. Saroj Sood Scholarship programme, which supports civil services aspirants from underprivileged backgrounds.

Professionally, Sonu Sood recently made his directorial debut with the cyber-crime action thriller Fateh, starring alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Naseeruddin Shah. He is also associated with Shakti Sagar Productions and is slated to appear in an upcoming multi-starrer action entertainer currently in pre-production.
