Sparsh Shrivastava Reveals Bollywood Inspirations for Bhugol in Dupahiya Season 2

Sparsh Shrivastava has shared how iconic Bollywood stars including Govinda, Salman Khan, and Madhuri Dixit inspired his character Bhugol in the upcoming second season of Dupahiya.

In the new season, Bhugol navigates newfound fame while expressing his fascination with films and stars. Sparsh explained that Govinda inspired a specific mandir sequence seen in the trailer, channeling a moment from Raja Babu. The character also incorporates elements from Deewaar, wears Salman Khan's jacket from Maine Pyar Kiya, and reflects Madhuri Dixit through launda naach elements.

The filming of the launda naach sequence also brought back a personal memory for Sparsh from a 2010 dance reality show where Saroj Khan was a judge. While filming, choreographer Kruti gave him a ₹500 note, evoking memories of receiving ₹100 notes from Saroj Khan after good performances.

Directed by Sonam Nair and produced by Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani under Bombay Film Cartel LLP, Dupahiya Season 2 is created and written by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg.

The cast features Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Sparsh Shrivastava, Bhuvan Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi, Yashpal Sharma, and new addition Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua). The series premieres on Prime Video on October 1.
