SRFTI alumnus Hiranmoy Gogoi won Best Editing at the Filmfare Awards Assamese 2026 for 'Gulai Soor'.

The Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) is celebrating the achievement of Hiranmoy Gogoi, an editor from the institute’s third batch of Editing for Electronic and Digital Media (EDM), who won Best Editing at the Filmfare Awards Assamese 2026. He worked on Gulai Soor, a film directed by Raktim Kamal Baruah.
Hiranmoy’s work on the film shaped it into a cohesive and emotional story. His success highlights the training provided by the EDM department at SRFTI and adds to the list of SRFTI alumni making an impact in Indian and Assamese cinema.
