Super 30 Founder Anand Kumar Shares Former Student Bidur Kant Jha’s Inspiring Journey

Anand Kumar, the founder of the Super 30 educational initiative, recently shared the inspiring story of his former student, Bidur Kant Jha. Jha overcame financial difficulties to achieve the position of Director in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.

Reflecting on their first meeting from three decades ago, Kumar recalled that Jha came to him with educational aspirations but lacked the financial resources. Kumar encouraged him to focus on hard work instead of money. In a social media post, Kumar expressed his happiness that Jha has maintained their bond and remembered his teacher despite reaching great heights.

Along with the story, Kumar shared two photographs—one from approximately 30 years ago and a recent one showing their reunion—highlighting that their relationship has endured over time.

Based in Patna, Bihar, Kumar's Super 30 initiative provides free coaching and support to economically disadvantaged students preparing for IIT entrance exams. His work and life inspired the Bollywood film Super 30, featuring Hrithik Roshan as the educator.
