Tanuj Virwani Writes, Produces, and Directs iPhone-Shot Thriller Naash

Actor Tanuj Virwani is expanding his creative work by writing, producing, and directing his own series, Naash. The thriller was shot on an iPhone, with multiple sequences filmed at Tanuj's farmhouse located in Lonavala.

Written and directed by Tanuj, the project was filmed across locations including Lonavala, Kerala, and Hong Kong, featuring a narrative focused on suspense and thrills.

Tanuj stated, “Naash is a thriller, and the whole experience of making it has been extremely exciting and challenging for me. I wanted to experiment with the medium and see how far we could push ourselves creatively by shooting an entire film on an iPhone. A lot of it was shot at my farmhouse in Lonavala, and I also shot with my friends, which made the experience very personal.”

He added that shooting a thriller on a phone at night was very scary due to working in the dark and trying to create atmosphere and tension with limited resources.

By taking on writing, producing, and directing duties, Tanuj is involved in every stage of the creative process. The project marks a step in his journey as he explores abilities behind the camera alongside his work as an actor.
