Taylor Swift Addresses Fan Speculation and Reveals Real Inspiration Behind 'Patient Zero'

Taylor Swift reveals the real inspiration behind her song Patient Zero

Taylor Swift's latest song, Patient Zero, quickly became a subject of discussion on the internet following its release as part of The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore. Fans quickly linked the song to her ex, Joe Jonas, and his former wife, Sophie Turner, believing the track followed the pop star's pattern of writing about her exes.

However, Taylor addressed the speculation herself to share the real inspiration behind the song. She emphasized that the track is based on a conversation with her friend rather than her own past. In Patient Zero, she sings from the perspective of someone who faced heartbreak from a toxic partner, who later connects with the toxic ex's new girlfriend.
