Temptation: A Devised Play Exploring Adolescent Pressures and the Digital World

Temptation is a devised play that explores the challenges adolescents face in a fast-changing world surrounded by technology, social media, online games, and academic pressure. Created through close collaboration with students who shared their real experiences, thoughts, and fears, the play reflects how teenagers balance their dreams, friendships, and personal pressures.

The play was written by Himanshu B Joshi, an experienced theatre writer, designer, and director associated with the National School of Drama, Bhartendu Natya Academy, and other institutions. The design and direction were led by a National School of Drama alumnus from the 2006 batch who has acted in over 50 plays and directed more than 20 productions.

According to the director's note, Temptation emerged from an intensive creative journey with students, aiming to present a reflective space where the dilemmas and unspoken struggles of teenage life can be examined rather than offering moral resolutions.

The production is associated with the National School of Drama TIE Wing in Tripura, established on August 9, 2012, in Agartala in collaboration with the Government of Tripura.
