Veteran Actor Nana Patekar's Cause Of Death Revealed

Veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 75. He was found unresponsive at his Goa residence and rushed to a private hospital, where he took his last breath. He is survived by his wife, Neelkanthi Patekar, and their son, Malhar Patekar.

According to his postmortem report, Nana died of a natural cause. On October 11, 2026, a senior doctor at the state-run Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) confirmed that the actor suffered a heart attack caused by a blood clot blocking the left main coronary artery.

Details of the Postmortem Report

The postmortem report cites the cause of death as "acute myocardial infarction due to left main coronary artery thrombosis secondary to atherosclerotic occlusive coronary artery disease, a natural cause of death". The left main coronary artery is responsible for supplying blood to a large part of the heart.
