The Parineeta actress not only faced rejection in the South Indian film industry, but was also made to feel ‘ugly’. The impact was so harsh that she started believing it and stopped looking in the mirror for six months.

In an interview with Galatta India, Vidya Balan said she was replaced in a Tamil film within two days. However, when she asked the producer about the reason behind it, he made a very derogatory comment about the actress. Recalling the painful memory, Vidya shared her experience of the rejection.
