Vijay Varma Shares 'Saving Private Gyan' Post Amid Protests Targeting Gyanesh Kumar

Actor Vijay Varma addressed the ongoing protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar by sharing a sarcastic social media post on Sunday, October 11. The actor posted an image referencing the Hollywood film Saving Private Ryan, retitling it Saving Private Gyan in a dig at efforts defending the election official.

The shared image included a photograph of Gyanesh Kumar with the text, “The face of free and fair election,” and the tagline “Saving private gyan.” Vijay captioned the Instagram post with a sarcastic remark: “Happy to the see the forces joining together to save our national hero. Protect him at ANY cost🙏🏻.”

Fellow entertainment industry members, including actors Richa Chadha and Sunny Hinduja and singer Shilpa Rao, reacted to Vijay's post.

The post coincides with protests organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), demanding Gyanesh Kumar's resignation over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The party raised concerns that eligible voters were removed from electoral lists during the revision process.
