Vikrant Massey Discusses the Vision Behind His Production Banner, Homemade Stories
National Award-winning actor Vikrant Massey explains the philosophy driving his production house, Homemade Stories, and discusses its first project, Musafir Cafe.
National Award-winning actor Vikrant Massey is expanding his creative footprint beyond acting through his production house, Homemade Stories. Speaking about the vision behind the banner, Massey explained his approach to storytelling.
"I wanted to tell stories that resonate with people without complicating matters," Massey said. "My motto has always been, less is more. Cut the frills, the superfluous, and just keep it as simple as possible."
When asked about genre preferences, Massey stated that he prefers to stay flexible rather than restricting himself to specific creative strengths, noting that the goal is to tell good stories worth people's time and money in an ever-evolving market.
This philosophy has shaped the production house's first project, Musafir Cafe, which received a warm audience response. Massey earned appreciation for his performance and character alongside his role as a producer, marking an important milestone in his transition to producing.
The project is also expanding into real-life experiences, with plans to open two new Musafir Cafes in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Looking ahead, Massey's slate includes the upcoming project White, in which he plays Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, as he continues to balance acclaimed performances with his work behind the camera.
