Where Is Christa Pike's Boyfriend Tadaryl Shipp Now Ahead of Execution?

Where is Christa Pike's boyfriend and accomplice, Tadaryl Shipp, today, ahead of her execution?

Christa Pike is set to be executed by lethal injection on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. She is the youngest woman in the United States to receive a death sentence at age 18 for the killing of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer, taking place nearly 31 years after the murder. If the execution proceeds, she will be the first woman executed in Tennessee in more than 200 years.

Her then-boyfriend and accomplice, Tadaryl Shipp, who helped torture and murder Knoxville Job Corps student Colleen Slemmer, remains in prison. Tadaryl was 17 years old when Slemmer was killed on January 12, 1995. He was convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. Because he was a juvenile at the time of the crime, he did not receive the death penalty.
