Yami Gautam Dhar Discusses Preparation for Her Role in Nayyi Navelli

Yami Gautam Dhar is starring as Mohini in the upcoming fantasy comedy Nayyi Navelli, which blends elements of family drama, mystery, action, and humour. Speaking at an event, Yami discussed the unique challenges of developing her character.

Reflecting on her preparation, Yami stated that every role brings new challenges and demands. She emphasized the need to learn new skills, action, and body language, explaining that an actor must create a parallel personality and wear it as their own skin.

Yami also highlighted the importance of repeatedly reading the script. She believes that each reading reveals new details that can be added to the role or storyline to better understand the movie's pulse. Furthermore, she aimed to give Mohini a distinct personality and laughter separate from her past characters, while adding a fresh element for the audience.

Nayyi Navelli is directed by Balaji Mohan and written by Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma. Set against the backdrop of an Indian family with fantasy and mystery elements, the film also stars Addinath M Kothare, Anurag Thakur, Sunita Rajwar, Mita Vasisth, Aaditya Kulshreshth, Susmita Mukherjee, and Prateek Pachori.

The film is produced by Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma under Colour Yellow in association with Amazon MGM Studios, with music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Nayyi Navelli is scheduled for a cinematic release on October 16, coinciding with Dussehra.
