Yash Chopra Foundation Awards Scholarships Worth Up to Rs. 5 Lakhs to 11 Film Industry Workers' Children

The Yash Chopra Foundation (YCF), the philanthropic arm of Yash Raj Films, has expanded its Scholarship Program to select 11 students, including the first-ever scholars pursuing Robotics and technology-led courses. The Foundation carries forward the vision of filmmaker Yash Chopra by supporting the children of registered Hindi film industry and FWICE union members.

The scholarship program provides financial assistance of up to Rs. 5 lakhs per student toward course fees for the 2026-27 academic year. Selected through a merit- and need-based screening process from over 300 applicants, the recipients represent a wide range of professional and technical courses, including Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, IT, Management, Law, Medical studies, and media disciplines.

The 11 chosen scholars include Nidhi Subhashchandra Yadav, Aryan Singh, Valencia Rojiyar Madhura, Uzma Sarfaraz Khan, Prathamesh Pradip Karanjolkar, Jaid Kalim, Pranjal Pramod Kapure, Sachin Vishwakarma, Asma Choudhary, Rudra Mangesh Damle, and Jay Siddeshwar Jangam.

Akshaye Widhani, CEO of Yash Raj Films, commented on the initiative, noting that the scholarship program extends support to the next generation of families working across every level of the ecosystem, evolving to match the changing aspirations of the students.

The initiative continues to assist the children of the industry's behind-the-scenes workforce, such as technicians, light men, spot boys, and daily wage workers.
