Yash Speaks on the Global Vision of Ramayana
At the launch of the second trailer of Ramayana in Bengaluru, actor and co-producer Yash discussed the cultural significance and global ambitions of the project. Yash, who is backing the two-part epic through Monster Mind Creations, explained that the team approached the film with devotion and a vision to introduce India's heritage to audiences worldwide.
During the event, Yash stated: “Everyone has spoken about the film. You all have an idea. But I would like to say a few things. Ramayana. We have not treated it like a movie. Everyone who has come here is an artist. Everyone has got an opportunity through devotion. We have all worked with the vision that our story should be told to the world.”
Addressing questions regarding the international scale of the project, Yash emphasised the importance of sharing India's history and culture globally while maintaining respect for the nation's identity.
“Many people might ask, what happened? Why did you make it international? First India, right? India is important. But I think, as Indians, we all have to understand how much we respect ourselves, how much we respect our culture; at the same time, we should let the whole world know what we are made up of, what we represent, and who we truly are. What is our history? What is our culture? If someone else says it, you cannot say it. Or if we sit here and say we are good in our own way, it is of no use,” Yash said.
