Tu Hai Meri Kiran Movie Review: An Intriguing Premise Undone by a Convoluted Second Half

A review of Tu Hai Meri Kiran, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, directed by Karan Rawal.

Tu Hai Meri Kiran stars Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, with direction by Karan Rawal. The story follows Kiran Mittal (Sonakshi Sinha), a bestselling author struggling to write her next book while living with her husband Riyaan Malhotra (Ankit Gupta). Kiran suspects Riyaan is cheating and has a strained relationship with her father, Mahesh Mittal (Purnendu Bhattacharya). Amid these struggles, she encounters Samar (Zaheer Iqbal), who falls for her and exhibits creepy behavior. Kiran cannot reject his advances due to a dangerous advantage he holds over her.

The film features an unconventional storyline with unexpected twists that keep viewers hooked during the first half. However, the narrative loses steam in the second half due to difficult-to-digest developments, a complicated plot, and unanswered questions regarding the mysterious powers of a feature phone. Ordinary dialogues and limited buzz also impact the film.

Sonakshi Sinha delivers a convincing performance, and Zaheer Iqbal effortlessly portrays the stalker alongside an innocent side. Ankit Gupta, Purnendu Bhattacharya, Zarina Wahab (playing Samar's mother, Seema), and Sherlin Seth (Sakshi) round out the cast in supporting roles.

Technical aspects include the song 'Na Roko', a background score by Advait Nemlekar and Shalom Benjamin, cinematography by Utkarsh Marulkar, production design by Sunil Nigvekar, costumes by Neelangi Johari, action by Vikram Dahiya, and editing by Atanu Mukherjee.
