Ramayana Movie Review: A Grand and Soulful Cinematic Experience
Director Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana delivers a grand cinematic experience featuring standout performances, stunning visuals by DNEG, and music by A R Rahman and Hans Zimmer.
Ramayana is described as a magnificent cinematic experience that brings scale, visuals, emotions, and soul to the Indian screen. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film celebrates Indian culture and the triumph of good over evil with watertight screenwriting and an engrossing narrative.
Key sequences include the opening between Brahma and Ravana, Ravana staking his claim on Lanka, the forest fight between Lord Rama and the rakshasas, the Sita Swayamvar, and the emotional pre-interval portion with King Dashrath, Kaikeyi, and Lord Rama. Other notable parts feature the action sequence between Ravana and Vidyutjeev, the Shurpanakha episode, and the Ravana-Jatayu fight on the Pushpaka Vimana.
The film features songs composed by A R Rahman and a background score by Hans Zimmer and A R Rahman. Visual effects powerhouse DNEG handled the VFX, while Namit Malhotra backed the production.
The cast features Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, Rakul Preet, Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, Shobhana, Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, Sheeba Chadha, and Ajinkya Deo. The second part of Ramayana is scheduled to arrive in Diwali 2028.
